These cameras are highly adaptable and their detection zones can be adjusted up to 30 metres, allowing the system to cover the most critical areas of the vehicle.
Driver monitoring systems are designed to tackle two of the biggest causes of accidents: distraction and drowsiness. Even a brief moment of lost focus can lead to serious consequences on the road. That’s why i-DAS comes equipped with a driver monitoring system that continuously tracks the driver’s eye and head movements.
If the system detects signs of distraction, such as looking away from the road or nodding off due to fatigue, it triggers an in-cab audio alert to quickly refocus the driver’s attention. This real-time feedback can make all the difference between a near-miss and a full-blown accident, helping to ensure that drivers remain alert and in control throughout their journey.
Automatic incident recording and response – In the unfortunate event that something does go wrong, i-DAS is there to help. It automatically records video snapshots of any incidents and uploads them straight to the CameraMatics Cloud.
