Since we started CameraMatics (known then as Provision) in 2016 we’ve always planned to expand to the US. “The US markets have the some of the largest fleets in the world. It was always one of our goals to launch in North America,” said Mervyn O’Callaghan, CEO and co-founder.
We passionately believe in our vision to improve road safety and driving standards and our connected vehicle and fleet safety systems do just that, so it makes sense for us to go global
“Our first office and US headquarters is in the City of Richmond, Virginia where we plan to hire up to 100 employees. We chose Richmond because – as well as being an innovation and tech hotspot – its geographical location makes it perfectly placed for our initial target market of the East Coast, from New York to Florida.
We’ve partnered with the American Trucking Associations which has 37,000 members of varied fleet sizes (including big names like UPS which alone has 346,000 vehicles). We’ve also partnered with the Virginia Manufacturers Association and were delighted to launch at their Environmental Health & Safety Conference.
The US expansion is good news for our Irish and UK operations as many of the roles for the US business will be operated from here – similarly with European expansion plans further down the line.

We’re very pleased to have launched our vehicle cameras and fleet safety systems to the US market. We look forward to growing CameraMatics there and playing our part in improving driver and vehicle safety, globally.
CameraMatics complete fleet and vehicle safety solutions are much more than cameras, much more than tracking.
Our connected vehicle safety systems are a ground-breaking combination of new and traditional technology which turn any fleet into a smart fleet. They allow fleet operators to manage all their fleet intelligence, fleet safety and compliance in one simple-to-use platform – and all in real time.
